Coral Bay Trip

Lotus Eating

sunny 26 °C

A quick four days at Coral Bay and it was fantastic.cbay1.JPG
Flew from Perth with Skywest to Learmonth (close to Exmouth) on a turbo-prop which took 2.75 hours (could almost be in Bali on a 737 for that amount of time), but flew directly up the coast and the contrast between the Indian Ocean blue, the achingly white beaches and the empty red interior was fantastic.
Snorkelled with a turtle at Oyster Bridge, had baby reef sharks swimming round us in the nursery and snorkelled with manta rays on our last day.cbay7.JPG
The quad bikes trip was a blast.
The bay north of Coral Bay townsite is called Bateman Bay and is a flat 7 kilometre long run till you get to Oyster Bridge reef snorkelling spot.
Was a bit tentative on the way to Oysters, but having gotten used to the bike's handling, opened her up on the 7 km run back to town. So much fun.cbay6.JPG

Looks idylic!! The thought of snorkelling with all that sealife sounds bliss! And the quads sound fun!
